   أنـشأت مؤسسة تـرايـكوم عام 1990 في الرياض و تم افتتاح الفرع الثاني في جدة عام 1995 ،كأحـدى المؤسسات الـرائدة في مجال الاتصالات وشـبكات نقـل المعلومـات. مسـتخدمة احـدث المعـدات من شـركة نـورتل نتورك الكنـدية التي تعتبر ثاني اكبر شـركة صناعية تعمل في مجال الاتصـالات في أمريكا الشـمالية، وكذلك شـركة اريـكسون السويدية الرائدة في مجال الاتصـــالات في أوروبا ،وشركة باناسونيك اليابانية التي تقدم مجموعة واسعة من الحلول المدمجة. حيث ان تـلك الشركات تقوم باسـتخدام اعلى مسـتوى من توظيـف التكنولوجيا في مجـالي الاتصـالات و المعلومــات.

و مع التقدم في مجال الاتصالات، و الدمج بين بين المعلوماتية و الاتصالات. لم تتاخر تـرايـكوم من مواكبة التطور فقامت بانشاء قسم خاص لشبكات المعلومات، معتمدة و متعاونة مع اشهر الشركات العالمية في هذا المجال. مثل :سيستيماكس،سيسكو،تريكوم ...و مع وصول تكنولوجيا الشبكات اللاسلكلية، سارعت تـرايـكوم الى الاستعانة باشهر المصنعين العالمين لهذه التقنيةز مثل : سيسيكو ،يوس روبوتيكس،لينكسيس ...لتعزيز هذه التقنية في السوق المحلي السعودي.
